Project blogs are updating and Power Developer is set to begin its transformation. In a related event, yesterday we were added to the XGI Partner page.

It is all beginning to stack up!

Last week we read an interview with Hector Ruiz, CEO of AMD (Public, NYSE:AMD), that was posted on the World Economic Forum website. Hector has some excellent insights on how the alignment of social and business goals produce value. The PIC business plans have not been thrown away. You can be sure we will see an integrated AMD+ATI SoC solution being sold one day by IBM or Microsoft. Before that, we should have the EFIKA listed with the Open Desktop Workstation on the AMD site. We wonder if the Freescale and IBM Technology Development Agreement will bring another center of influence to this market.

Life can seem to be a bit like TETRIS

Do you remember TETRIS? Computer games have changed. Can we still call them that? TETRIS was fun to play on the A500, however it was originally developed on an IBM PC (you would think by now that flexible end user device message would get through). Games are fun on the PS3 and Wii, but are they the same?

Life can feel a bit like TETRIS if viewed as an adversary.

We are building a solid case for the EFIKA

The Chairman of Sun Microsystems (Public, NASDAQ:SUNW) wants to see Solaris run on Power. Dennis Clarke agrees: Industrial Strength 18-Gauge Steel EFIKA. Naturally, we do too. We have been shipping the Open Desktop Workstation and now the EFIKA to Blastwave Community since our involvement in the OpenSolaris Pilot Program in late 2004.

Solaris on PowerPC is pressing ahead with the Solaris Community at the ready.

The EFIKA is now matched with a solid case

It can be produced in a variety of colors and textures too. And, if that is not enough for you, please check this out: Project #326. A discussion is ongoing. We will delve into the case tomorrow!

The Community is the Computer.

Up and out to the world, it is hard to find a city in Europe with as much recorded history and culture as Napoli (Naples in English). It has been at a crossroads since the seventh century B.C. when it was established by the Greeks as Neapolis. Neapolitans include Giambattista Basile (of children's books), Enrico Caruso (of the opera), and Giorgio Napolitano (of the Italian Republic), who is the current President. Pizza originated in Naples and so did Crux PPC.

Life slowly returned to normal in Germany on Friday after one of the worst storms in 20 years. We could see the entire rainbow from the office, but could only capture this much of it with our camera.

And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant..."

You can read the rest in Genesis 9 if you are interested. If you read the proceeding chapter, you will discover that before the dove came back with an olive leaf, a raven was sent (did you ever wonder what happened to the raven?).

With the iPhone (in June, but AppleTV now - sort of), Macworld and Q107 earnings and announcements behind us, we can now sit back and look at what has happened and will probably happen in the months ahead.

1. 21 million iPods were shipped in the quarter. More will sell.

2. As many as 5 million new MacOSX users have been added in the last year. Leopard will generate in excess of $1 billion in revenue.

3. The transition to Intel is complete.

We will begin scanning through the Project Pages with diligence next week. So far, after an average of nearly one month of being in the "field" the EFIKA has had a great reception. We see cases, component and implementation ideas daily. It is great. The Community is the Computer. Thanks for the animgif Andrew!

Go Zig!

Show us and the rest of the world you know what you doing.

We learn a tremendous amount from the web traffic we see on our sites. Naturally, that includes this blog.

The Solaris on PowerPC connection did not register yesterday

Beyond the obvious, progressively greater web traffic works in another way to increase the exposure of your sites through the Google Search Engine (and others). Here are a few examples:

1. Google "Chinese National Day" - you will find there are 150 million webpages online.

This weekend the EFIKA was demonstrated to an enthusiastic group of Amiga folks in Belgium. We were particularly looking forward to this meeting and there was a surprising and positive result as a key Hyperion/OS4 contact was made.
