Hi Sam in Brazil, thanks for the comment. We think you are right.

When combined with the EFIKA a DVD distribution strategy makes plenty of good sense because there are many new markets for the Internet and computers at the same time. The speed at which the "third world" will move to the next phase of potential involvement in the rest of the world will happen in a fraction of the time it took the "first world" to get where it is. Let's see what we can do to make the ride not so bumpy.

Oh yeah, we're on third!

P.S. "Who" was on first, but that was about something else.

In case you missed reading this in Turkish last Friday (24 March), Hurriyet Daily Newspaper reported that the “GALLIPOLI” DVD was released in nearly 15,000 points in Turkey with a retail price of 6.99 YTL ($5.20 USD) on 17 March and sold 140,000 copies during the first three days.

Dogan Yayin Holding A.S. (Public, IST:DYHOL) is a media group in Turkey that will post $1.7+ billion USD in revenue this year while deriving roughly 40% from advertising revenue.

Well, it could be and it very well might, but it is actually something else:

When combined with the EFIKA we should have something that can work any where there is a good physical fitness program cycling away! Even electricity is not a commodity where this computer could be.

Like this:

The Power Platform Management Services Project demonstrates the ability to create and maintain a highly competitive end-user environment. The environment uses open source applications and developers. It is deployed and maintained through images and a layered image server distribution and management network.

Wow! Thanks for stopping by!

How about we say what we said yesterday again in another way...

Currently, all competitive challenges to Power take place within the embedded product markets since there is no Power presence in the developer and end-user environment.

Establishing a presence within the developer and end-user environment moves the competitive challenge boundary away from the embedded markets. Power marketing can expand to include the entire competitive environment.

The whole situation was pretty simple. The story goes like this:

End-users and Power developers experienced/experience the rich capabilities of the Power Ecosystem primarily through the use of Intel-based devices. Even when surrounded by branded Power devices, their awareness of Power was/is limited and constrained by their Intel experience.

Sun's booth at CeBIT features a server demo comparing the power consumption of a rack of Sun systems with the power consumption of a rack of Dell systems. The results are not surprising. It is a nice booth and done up well in solid Sun fashion.

Here is something that is surprising. It is the latest and greatest from Noah Yan:

The inetboot, which allow a diskless system to boot over NFS root is now functional for PowerPC.

In reference to our last post...

Just part of the enormous IBM Booth at CeBIT

CeBIT was/is crazy as usual. There are a lot of things we want to blog about, but cannot because:

1. We do not have the time.

2. We are not allowed to disclose information (yet).

3. We do not want to disclose information (yet).

Please stay tuned.

open source 3D graphics support is going to change a few perspectives

It actually won't be long. We have a few surprises for the market. Yes, they have been long in coming. Yes, we have had many false starts, but perseverance is the key and it is all about to pay off. So, get ready!!!

It may only be binaries to start with, but these binaries will be supported.

Well, maybe in this picture from the Fall of 2004!

Here is what the naysayers have to say about Atari today:

• Stock (Nasdaq: ATAR) trades below a $1 - could be delisted.

• The Company just reported an unexpected quarterly loss.

• The CFO resigned in February - last CEO has still not been replaced.

• The cash balances are not sufficient to fund significant development.

• The industry faces a lull during console transitions.

We are more positive about the prospects for Atari.
